Hella Mellanated Festival is a multimedia festival curated, produced and presented by and for queer and trans people of color. The first edition is being held in Turnhalle Bern.
Even though we are funded by Turnhalle, there is still some basic needs to cover in order to provide a safe and comfortable space for the amazing line up of artist / helping team of this festival. This is the first time that a festival like this is happening in Switzerland and we need community to come help us with any kind of donation, in order to make it right.

Hella Mellanated is more than just a Festival. This unique mini-festival it's a whole underworld. It is the life giving ocean that the Goddess Yemanja has created. It is a lake of black warm water, healing waters, welcoming queer/trans people of color and their allies to come together. So jump in and spend some cute time together. Let's swim and dive inside this pool of ultra sensorial experiences, provided by a highly talented team of selected queer/trans artist of color from all around Europe.
For this one-night-only feast, we want to grant the community good and safe waters where our mermaid bodies are able to celebrate ourselves to the fullest. Therefore, as an additional attraction to the evening we offer a selection of QTPOC artists and designers to bring their products to present and sell it to the public in a Market format. AND as the evening is an "oceanic summer" night, bring your bathing suits and props and let all hang out with us in a runway competition. Open to anyone to participate. Best bathing suit runway wins a price!
